To Know It All

What would it be like, To be at all the worldly ideas' ultimate confluence, To know it all?
For I have always thought,
And to me, this thought,
A haunting ambivalence has brought:
What would it be like,
To be at all the worldly ideas' ultimate confluence,
To know it all?
To know those who strive against your gains,
To know whom to trust with your reins;
To recognize the modern red flagger,
To beware of who will first pull the dagger;
To know whose breath will first fail,
To know, for better or for worse,
Who will live to tell the tale.
To know it all, but feel of it none:
For you or not, the blood that strangers shed,
And the lies by those beloved
You may have been fed;
The sins of those that have upended your future,
And those deeds of ancestors that
Founded for these tortures;
All the things that have been done for love,
With only one sanction,
The one claimed from above.
To attain the cognizance of:
When the skies will fall,
And the kings shall freeze in their halls.
When the world will burn,
And the coming generation shall struggle
To come across sufficient urns.
To know whether
He will care a bit, when the world He created,
Shall by silent apocalypses of splits be hit.
For I have always thought,
And to me, this thought,
A haunting ambivalence has brought:
To know it all, is for nought:
For all the battles that have been fought,
With or without regrets,
Hasn't He who does know it all,
Remained forever,
The farthest from His subjects?
