In the beginning,
They say, God created the universe;
In times of reckoning,
To the former idea in reverse,
Didn’t the universe and it’s people create God?
They say that God is almighty,
All powerful and all good;
So when humans were willing to kill each other for food,
And the concepts of domination, theft, murder, and rape,
Had taken roots deep inside their psyche,
Where was God then?
All religions are different paths leading to the same God;
So when wars were waged in which thousands perished,
When different religions came at odds,
When the pain and turmoil took away the world’s cherish,
Where was God then?
When the stronger ravaged, looted, and burned the lands of the weak,
When the stronger became wealthier on feeding on the hard work of the weak,
And the weaker became poorer on resisting the stronger;
When the wealthier developed cold disregard for the poorer,
And the poorer developed burning hatred for the wealthier;
Which would divide the world for generations further,
Where was God then?
When Hitler, in the name of religion and race, killed millions,
And the Americans treated the blacks as their minions;
When the British easily took Indians slaves,
Because the Indians were not unified because of their faiths;
When Vlad the Impaler impale his enemies alive,
And Ghenghis Khan exploited and murdered his enemies’ wives;
When Mary burned protestants in hundreds for the name of Catholicism,
And Aileen Wurnos killed seven accusing them of alcoholism;
Where was God then?
If Jesus could make wine out of water,
Why is a huge chunk of the population starving?
If Muhammad was God’s Prophet for global peace,
Why are some using his name in justification for terrorism?
If Ram was sent by God to end evil by killing Ravan,
Why are temples of his name crippling the common people seeking His justice?
When politicians came into power,
By preaching the Almighty’s prowess;
And imposed their ideologies,
While behind their armies they cowered;
Where was God then?
In today’s world;
When rationality and objectivity separates humans from animals,
But people are killed on the roads for not rhyming with the winning sides' words;
When free speech and the quality of being adaptable,
Defines a functioning civilization,
But activists are shot dead before their ideas are left for trivialisation;
When God is supposed to be a hope,
And a promise for a better time during the worst of times with which they cope,
Yet the pandemic, the economic crumble, and the humanitarian crisis,
Are all deemed His acts and the people’ misdeeds’ prices;
Where is God now?
Neither is God all good,
For he hasn’t done much to eliminate evil in a world he created;
Nor is he all powerful to do it, or even speak for his mistakes,
And tell the people He is not someone that they understood.
Not all powerful, not all good,
What separated him from humans other than who first stood?
Either God doesn’t exist,
Or He is a coward, and not willing to fill in the holes,
That while creating the universe He missed.
It was appealing theory but i beleive that it was all god’s plan
if british didn’t ever rule india ..didnt ever gave india’s independency …then our country would never be democratic etc …’
The Industrial Revolution was a shift from handmade goods to machine-made goods. As machines replaced human labour, goods began to be produced much faster and in larger quantities.Which i dont think any other rulers of mughal or any other dynasty would be capable of acheiving
